Match Reviews:
Coming into the spring, the visit of Everton looked - on paper at least - to be Manchester United's trickiest fixture ahead of the derby game at neighbours City. Wigan soon ended that theory with their unexpected win, and a look at recent encounters between United and Everton doesn't exactly back it up either!

United have been playing like a team seemingly headed for the title for a few weeks now

David Moyes' team are always capable of giving anyone a game on their day as we all know, but they haven't had anything like a great day at Old Trafford for years now.
You have to go back to the inaugural season of the Premier League to find the last time the blue half of Merseyside actually won there. That's 20 years since Peter Beardsley, Robert Warzycha and Mo Johnston all scored in a 3-0 victory back in August 1992.
The blip against Wigan aside, United have been playing like a team seemingly headed for the title for a few weeks now. Nine wins out of the last 10 is impressive enough, and they've only conceded one goal in the last seven league matches. Their current tally of 82 points is already two more than they needed to win the title last year.
They've won all seven of their home games since the turn of the year and you have to go all the way back to 2009 and a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa to find the last time they failed to score at home in the league.
From a neutral point of view the hope has to be that Everton have picked themselves up after the disappointment of last week's FA Cup semi-final defeat by Liverpool and are ready to go again. Their league form is good, with 10 points from the last 12 available and three clean sheets in that four-game span.
There's only been one goal in it in three of the last four league encounters at Old Trafford between the two sides, but Manchester United have prevailed each time and will take another large step towards the title if they do so again here.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

This is the 187th meeting between the clubs in all competitions. United lead by 81 wins to 64, with 41 draws.
Manchester United
United have won nine of their last 10 league matches.
They have never had more than their current tally of 82 points after 34 games of a Premier League season.
The Red Devils have scored in a Premier League record 47 consecutive home matches since a 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa in 2009.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side have won all seven of their league games at Old Trafford in 2012.
Wayne Rooney needs one goal to move equal-fourth on Manchester United's list of all-time top scorers, alongside George Best and Dennis Viollet on 179 goals. Rooney has 31 goals this season, just three fewer than his personal best haul from two seasons ago.
Everton
Everton have taken 10 points out of an available 12, keeping three clean sheets in those four games.
Their record of 47 points from 33 games is identical to last season.
