Match Reviews
You need only have a vague idea of the recent results to look at the 1.50 prices on Arsenal and realise that it is free money. Recent form makes clear Arsenal have been surging since they woke up at 0-2 down against Spurs, and bar their blip at QPR, this team have been a force to be reckoned with. Next up, Wolves. Piece. Of. Wolves are going down, here is not doubt about it. I was at Norwich and saw them take the lead only to surrender it within a minute and go on to lose the game against 10 man Norwich and they are now on a run of 7 straight losses. Wolves have also been sh*te at the Molineux, winless through 9 home games and failing to keep a clean sheet through 15 home games . Arsenal have won on their last 5 trips to Wolverhampton, and have not been beaten in 18 meetings against the Wolves, home or away. Wolves did, however, hold Arsenal to a draw at the Emirates earlier this season, scoring from their only shot on target, to deny Arsenal points they should easily have collected. Forget revenge, Arsenal know these are 3 points they must scoop up, to maintain their 2 point lead over Chelsea were fortunate to grab some undeserved points against Wigan , while Sp*rs dropped a couple at Sunderland, but 3rd place is still Arsenal's to lose. Having somehow missed a whole host of gaping opportunities at home against cash-doped title pretenders Manchester City, the Gunners did finally score the winner late on to all but end Citeh's chances. I realise Wolves need the points here, but that has been the case for a while now and they've done SFA in each of those games .
Van Persie has now gone an alarming number of games without scoring, having had his shots stopped by the post and Vermaelen's head in the last match. Against a side the likes of Wolverhampton, you'd be a brave man to bet against the captain getting amongst them. Prices of 4.00 on him opening the scoring look decent and worth considering. If he can't score, fans are going to be calling for his head, and I think we should get rid of him. 4 games without a goal is unacceptable, so I hope for his sake he can do something.

What is most impressive, but does not get enough coverage, is this Arsenal teams defence. Most will concentrate on and talk about the win, but it really is quite an accomplishment to hold high-scoring Manchester City to a clean sheet. In fact, Arsenal have not conceded in 3 of their last 4 games! Arsene Wengers players have managed to score in their last 9 games though, and that does not bode well for a Wolves side that has just 1 clean sheet at home all season . Enough waffling. My write-ups might seem like the ramblings of an Arsenal obsessed loon, but the bets have landed so I shall continue with them. Over the weekend I predicted the well-priced win over City, but got greedy with the goals market (which really should have also hit, truth be told) but for some unbelievable luck for Mancini's men.< This week, I shall suggest the Arsenal win again as a banker at 1.50, but for this preview I shall suggest you go with the Gunners to win by at least 2, because I feel a clean sheet is more than likely
